Hopefully I'm speaking for more than myself, but I can cook. So throw some worthy dishes in here.

Were you intending for this group for just bachelors or maybe some bachlorettes also. A singles group, as it were, with a joy for cooking the common thread.

I agree on the canned foods! Some is okay, but single eating doesn't necessarily mean "not fresh."

Of course anyone is free and welcomed to join. I was trying for brevity in the title and a theme that would include anyone that finds themselves cooking for one or two. There are too many recipes out there not to be shared. So welcome one and all, and rest assured, I would rather make my own fresh chili than get it from a can. I might find it hard to make my own tater tots though.

Thank you for the welcome! :) I end up cooking for one or two a lot, actually, because we have three folks in the household - all with different menu requirements. Two guys... one whose sense of smell is lacking and so he enjoys very spicy foods (my husband, Mike), and one who works evenings and who is more of a "meat and potatoes" kind of guy (the housemate, Darrell). Darrell has been a good sport, though, and tries everything we make even when he thinks he probably won't like it; I've extended his menu habits by a lot, which is cool. :) And myself, I'm diabetic and don't eat much meat.

So every meal is an adventure, in our house. :)
