Help!

As you guys know, my cat is 3 years old and we just adopted it, the problem is, he really needs some nice cleaning! Anyways, I`m afraid that he may get aggressive because he`s been with us for only a month and a half now. What should I do?

Cats are normally self-cleaning. Get a good cat brush and brush the cat of unwanted hair. Cats do tend to get a bit testy when they get near water, so I just wouldn't go there unless there is no other way.
I've taken a warm, wet wash cloth to them before as a last resort, which might be much easier than setting them into water.
I've also used cotton balls to clean the ears, when dirty.
    Good luck!

Hi Kittie. There is a "dry" shampoo you can get at good pet stores. I'm sorry I can't remember the name. My aunt used it on hers. You might try that. I wouldn't try a real bath if you value your arms and hands. Good Luck.

I had a cat that wasn't a good self groomer. The vet suggested I use a spray bottle (on mist) with just water and lightly spray the cat down. They don't like being wet and will like themselves dry. It worked.

another thing you can do is take a warm wet paper towel and put most of it in your hand the rest around your index finger. gently start on one side of their face or the top of their head and using short strokes start washing.... pretend your a Momma cat.... usually they will like it...especially if you start at the top of their head then the paper towel starts to not smell so strange...

Have you been able to groom your kitty yet?
