I am all for anything involving cookies! So, tell me, what is a cookie swap party?

Everybody makes the same number of cookies. Let's say you have 6 people total at your party then you make 6 dozen cookies of the type you are going to bring. Everyone makes a different cookie. At the party, you give each of the 6 people a dozen of your cookies and they give you a dozen of theirs. At the end of the party, you have 6 different types of cookies to take home. Tada!

It is fun, especially if you serve some hors d'oeuvres and some champagne...I've been known to down a dozen cookies in the car on the way home...oh yeah...guilty! LOL

My daughter and I are hoping to organize a cookie exchange this year for "moms and daughters" - I LOVE cookie exchanges, and love all the assortment you get. Because we tend to have 12 people or more, we only take 3 of each cookie for our containers, but we still end up with a great assortment and plenty of cookies! It is always great fun, and I'm w/greekgirll - a little "hot toddy", mimosa, or warm cranberry punch goes great with some appetizers, and gives us a chance to stop eating cookies long enough to get something else in our stomach that isn't sugary (I'm just as guilty, greekgirll...never leave me alone with cookies...)
    HAPPY COOKIE BAKING TO EVERYONE!\
