old coffee grounds

Don't throw out old coffee grounds. They are full of nutrients that acid loving plants crave. Rose bushes, rhododendron and evergreens to name a few. I had a rose bush one time that never bloomed, I started putting the coffee grounds and voila, I had tons of gorgeous roses!

I had a friend that would "water" his african violet with the dregs of his coffee cup. The thing was always in bloom. I've never had luck with them myself. If I ever get another one, I think I'll add coffee grounds to the soil. I drink my coffee with cream so I don't think I should pour that in a plant... :)
