Random Acts of Kindness

I would like to find out if anyone does random acts of kindness and what it is. I have to say that besides a smile and nice word, I usually plan my "good deeds"...ahem... I decided that while I am out and about I will be more thoughtful of those around me. What have you said or done?

That's easy....you can always find ways to help someone if you keep your eyes and heart open.

Just on a visit to the store:

Putting an elderly person's grocery cart away for them.
Reaching something for a person in a wheelchair of handicapped cart

An elderly woman had just cashed a check one day and was standing outside counting the cash, an easy target for someone to run by and grab it out of her hands. A gentle reminder to keep her cash out of sight seemed to be very appreciated.

Also, handing a cold or hot drink to a cop that's been standing a detail for a lot of hours.

Taking baked goods to out neighborhood firehouse when I'm baking....just little things like that are very easy to do.

Pat, I love your ideas!! I am baking tonight so I will run some goodies up to the firehouse. Thanks for your example...

Just think of the things that people have done for you that you appreciated. Most of the time I don't think people think about it, they just do it.

I'm sure they will be surprised and really appreciate it!

I guess I find that's the best part.......seeing the look of pleasant surprise on someone's face....it doesn't take much!
