Adding photos to recipe instructions

  • pointsevenout 13 years ago
Can't add photos to recipe instruction lines that are below the currently viewable instruction lines. In other words the page won't scroll to an instruction line on long recipes while trying to drag and drop a photo.

    Am I being clear?

This is why I read before I type or complain, P7O... I noticed this same problem, last night, when I tried to embed my existing photos for egg rolls, and was going to ask about it, today. :)

And, you can't scroll first. And, you can't even embed the photo into an inappropriate line, then move it from there, because you can only delete from there.

It's a nice feature to be able to imbed pics in individual lines of instructions to make them more clear. Just wish the auto-scroll function would work.

P7O, do all your photos enlarge when you click them? Some of mine do, some don't, and I can't figure out why. And, I don't just mean MY photos, I mean any photos I click on...it's random on which ones will enlarge and it seems like one time a specific one will, then next time the same one, won't...but, on that, I can't be sure.

    Any idea?

    Hey guys.

As for "enlarging" photos. All recipes posted _after_ the relaunch should expand. As mentioned before the full-sized photos from the old site haven't been moved over yet. This will happen this week. Then all photos will blow up when clicked.

As for embedding photos. I think the issue is that we've all got mouses with scroll wheels here and so we can drag the photo and scroll down at the same time. Obviously this is an oversight on our part.

Until we can figure out a way around this, you should be able to drag the photo and use your keyboard to press the down arrow key (spacebar should work too). This will scroll the page down. A bit awkward to say the least, but it should work until we solve the issue.

ahhh... that explains it, thank you, as usual, Kristopher. I wasn't too worried, was just a curiosity more than anything, about the enlarging photos.

And, yes, the scroll becomes difficult with a touch pad, but, as you said, no impossible. I embedded some earlier today on my new recipe by doing what you said. (spacebar didn't work, but the arrow did)

Thanks. Work-around works well for me too using the arrow key.
