    The idea of making broccoli stir fry was a last minute dinner idea so I wanted something quick and easy. It just so happened that I had a red pepper that needed used. I also had some shiitake mushrooms so I added those as well. I liked how the vegetables cooked up perfect and retained their beautiful color. Other than that, it really lacked in flavor. Hubby complained it was too sweet. I splashed some sesame oil and soy sauce on it and also gave it a healthy shake of salt and pepper.

    You manage to make anything look beautiful DIZ!! That's too bad the flavor wasn't all there, I'm guessing the oyster sauce was probably the sweetness your hubby didn't care for. I could go for some of that sushi lol!

    I like the sesame oil and soy sauce substitute.
    Maybe some apple cider vinegar subbed in place of the cooking sherry will bring out the flavor. And 'shrooms are always a good addition to a stir-fry.
