Asparagus with Toasted Seeds

Ever since Bren posted this recipe I've wanted to try it and got to do so last night.
    Asparagus With Toasted Seeds
I scooped the seeds out of a pumpkin I had left from Halloween decorating and toasted them up in the oven. Unfortunately I over toasted them. :( They weren't burned per se but Hubby noticed. :)

I didn't actually nuke the stalks in the microwave. I just sauteed them in a fry pan on the stove in olive oil for a couple of minutes before adding the pumpkin and sesame seeds. I quite like sesame oil. I might actually go for a whole teaspoon full next time.

This was a lovely dish Bren. Great for fall.

Oh wow! Great picture and great dish! I'll have to try this one next time I do up asparagus for the portion I eat but then again maybe I'll do the whole bunch because this dish would be great cold added to a salad!

This would be so easy to cut down in size for just one Linda. But yes, it would be nice added to a salad as well for sure. And I know your penchant for pumpkin seeds. :)

Stunning photo, Chuckie! Asparagus is a favorite vegetable here, and that looks like a quick easy way to fix it.

Great photo, chuckieb! I love asparagus! That's a very interesting recipe pairing it with pumpkin seeds. I had to look twice to make sure it really said pumpkin seeds. I'll bet my hubby would like this.
