    English Muffin Bread
    English Muffin Bread

It's a popular recipe and it's posted and repeated plenty for very good reason, it's DELICIOUS!! and so easy to make.
my review: "Wow! Very good and it does taste like an English Muffin. The dough was so easy to work with. I used my stand mixer and beat on low/medium for about 5+ minutes. I then lightly kneaded and shaped on my counter to get the right shape for my loaf pan. So easy. When it was cooled, I sliced, and put in the freezer to use. Winner!"

I toasted a piece to sample and it toasted so nice, tasted just like an English Muffin ... perhaps even better.

    Beautiful pictures Linda!
The first time I heard of this recipe was on an episode of Cook's Country I believe. I have yet to make it, but have always wanted too! I think I would prefer it this way over making the muffins and griddling them! :)

Both recipes linked are the same recipe ... One poster noted for a single loaf and used a bread machine to do the work (the 1st one linked) and the other poster noted for two loaves but didn't say how they mixed the dough (the 2nd one linked). The stand mixer made the work easy.
I tweaked my reviews for each recipe to make it clearer.

I did use a 9x5 pan Shona. I think the next size down would work too.

Thanks Linda! I have a 9x5 so that's perfect! Ahh, I see now the second recipe is doubled, makes sense now! I was just reading the directions in the second one.

    Hi Joce! :)

This recipe is so neat, never seen anything like it! I love English muffins so I think I would love this bread :) Yours looks SO good! Thanks for posting both recipes, I'm bookmarking the second one, since I don't have a bread machine.

Thanks everyone. I think if you do make this bread you'll be pleased. Remember it's meant to be eaten toasted.
