Irish Soda Bread

    ~Made for the March 2017 Irish Recipe Challenge~

    Oh wow, this was fantastic bread!! I brushed mine with the buttermilk/butter mixture about every 10 minutes. It got dark pretty fast, not sure if it was from the basting or not, but I covered with foil the last 20 minutes. The outside crust get's very chewy and the inside stays nice and fluffy. Went perfect with Irish Beef And Stout Stew, this recipe is definitely a keeper!!!

    OMG! Your bread looks absolutely beautiful! Looks like it came from a professional bakery and the photo should be on a magazine cover. We like soda bread. Hope you don't think I'm copying, but I was also going to make stew and soda bread for the March theme. Different recipes, of course. I have all of the stuff, just not the time. Maybe tomorrow or sometime this week.
