Meatballs For Lasagne

Made yet another meatball, (we eat a lot of meatballs lol) and these were delicious as well! I was mainly wanting to try these because they had both beef and pork in them and had both to use up. I did not use my food processor to chop up the shallot and parsley, I just did it by hand as fine as I could. Replaced bread crumbs with almond flour like usual. I had not even know that meatballs were used in lasagna, but Bren explained to me that some people in Northern Italy put tiny meatballs in their lasagna :) Very interesting! I will use this recipe that way one day, but this time I just made them a bit bigger and put them on spaghetti with sauce :) Everyone enjoyed!!

OMG! Those look so good, mommyluvs2cook! I've never heard of meatballs in lasagna either. I always use a 50/50 mix of meat when making meatballs regardless of the recipe. I like the texture better.

I love meatballs too. I bet these would be great for a sub sandwich ... cook them in the crockpot with sauce and make sandwiches, yum! Great photos!

I've just started experimenting 50/50 meats DIZ, don't know what took me so long lol!

Linda, these would be perfect in a crockpot and served as a sub sandwich :)

    Looks great Michelle!
I like the texture better with pork added too, and less chance of it drying out or becoming rubbery. :)
