    Shirred Eggs My Way
    For Keni Day

    Shirred Eggs, My Way

These were really good and easy to make. I omitted the hot sauces, sorry I am a wimp that way. These are surprisingly creamy and have a great taste. My HB went MMM! I also omitted the tarragon b/c we don't care for it. I think these would be great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I will be making these very often. Thank you , Keni.

Beautiful picture Joce!! I'm weird about tarragon, I like it in some things and don't in others. Read back on my review in the old IMI and it looks like I subbed it for sage lol, so not sure if I enjoyed it in this. Don't forget to add your picture to the recipe page :)

I have tried at least three times to bake eggs and I've never been successful. :( I'd be so into the hot sauce. Your photo is fantastic Joce and looks very delicious. I should give it one more go. Bookmarked to try. (These would make a nice Valentine's breakfast dish too wouldn't they!)

I never have heavy cream in the house. Could I get by using evaporated milk do you think?

I don't have ramekins, I'll have to try this in jumbo muffin tins! :D

Janet, I am not sure about using evaporated milk in place of cream b/c it may be too sweet. I forgot to mention I used Half & Half when making these and you could taste its creaminess in the eggs. I know you use evaporated milk all the time so you might not mind it in this dish.

O.M.G! Made these today for myself for breakfast and they are fantastically rich and wonderful. I made mine with chives, a little crumbled bacon, and cheese. Don't think I could eat them everyday because they are that rich but for a wonderful treat these are it not to mention so easy to make. Thank you Keni for turning me on to such a wonderful way to prepare eggs. ❤️💕❤️

Glad you liked it Linda!! This is a great new way to eat eggs, I agree, but definitely and occasional breakfast :) What kind of cheese did you end up using?

These look fantastic!! I might try making these tonight - both my husband and I have got the crud going around and this and maybe a little soup sounds good!

I had a mix blend of Colby and Cheddar so used a little of that. These are definitely "company worthy" even if you have to buy and use disposable ramekins. Probably would be fun too to have an assortment of toppings and let everyone top theirs with what they want.
