Well, the directions on this are quite vague and after asking a few people in the ODD, I think we figured out that the word "teast" means taste lol.

So first of all, what are the sauce ingredients? I took a guess and added together the fish sauce, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, green onions, mint and red pepper. I doubled up on the sauce and went ahead and marinated my meat in half of it for about 2 hours before grilling. After tasting the sauce I thought it was pretty salty and fishy (too much fish sauce). So I added water and a little sugar. To me it was better, but my husband kept saying it tasted fishy as we were eating it. Oh well! I guess to end this review, I've had much better Thai beef salads before, so I probably won't be making this again.

Gorgeous photo, Mommyluvs! Sorry the recipe didn't work for you. Looking at it, it does sound confusing, but, also looking at the poster's avatar photo, English may be her second language. Considering that, "teast" isn't much of a stretch for "taste" in the context of the sentence and is easily understood.

Thanks y'all :) Yes it is a shame, I was thinking about giving this recipe 1 or 2 stars but then I figured at least it could be fixed and it wasn't completely a waste. I still have some leftover beef and sauce that I'll add more water and sugar to it to try and fix a little more. I hope this recipe didn't ruin fish sauce for us as we have loved it in other recipes!
