    Baked Cajun Spiced Shrimp
    from Frankieanne

Even though I disobeyed the very first word of this recipe - "baked" - it was absolutely a wonderful and quick way to prepare a flavorful shrimp entree.

I served this along with couscous and tender, tender asparagus. While I cleaned and snapped the asparagus and prepared the couscous, I marinated the shrimp in the sauce mixture. Then I sauteed the shrimp (with the marinade) instead of baking in the oven. Removing the shells from the shrimp took longer than cooking. :O It was perfectly cooked in only a couple of minutes. The cajun-spiced sauce was great drizzled over the couscous.

    Thanks Frankieanne for posting this!

Thanks so much for trying this out and posting such a gorgeous picture! This is one of two of my unexpected guests dishes as I always keeps a bag of frozen shrimp on hand. Throw some rice on to cook and by the time you thaw the shrimp and remove the shells and cook up the shrimp, the rice is done! I've made this quite a few times. I'll have to try sauteeing though. I never thought of that.
    Thanks again, gkw!

Delicious! I added my review and photo to this recipe.

My changes, for taste, only, were these: butter instead of oil and Worcestershire sauce instead of soy and omitted the honey. We don't care for soy sauce, at all, here, and I was specifically wanting this recipe to be spicy, so I didn't wanna cut that with any sweetness. Again, though, I wouldn't change the rating of this recipe, though, it's surely just as good as written.

I'll make this, again. Thanks, Frankie!

Thanks so much for trying it out, Keni, and for adding your beautiful picture. I'm so glad it worked out for you. I don't know why I didn't think of substituting Worcestershire for the soy. I love that stuff! I'm going to steal that next time. :)
