Baked sweet potato

Recipe by Marky90: Baked Sweet Potato/saved
Sweet potatoes are always good. And the addition of cinnamon and nutmeg make this recipe extra tasty.
Used a very large sweet potato and it was still done in the requisite time.
Doubled the butter but not the other ingredients.
Mashed the other ingredients into the butter then spread it on the potato when done.
Might have to add more butter once I eat down past all the additions. : )

Soooo you used more than two pats of butter?
    :-)
Looks pretty. Kinda like a dessert.

Sweet potato is always a dessert to me. Potato was so big I had to use more butter.
Mother likes it hard core, straight up butter and baked sweet potato. Not sure she is going to like this recipe. Her half went into the fridge.
Fed her some raspberry flavored cold and flu medicine the other day and she hates raspberry. Second dose I camouflaged with a teaspoon of cinnamon. She hated that even more. So the cinnamon butter may not go over too well.

As I suspected. She scraped all the cinnamon butter off the potato, nuked it, and is watching TV eating the sweet potato with a stick of butter in one hand.

There are grip prints on a stick of butter in the fridge. Wonder where that could have come from!

    Pulled this recipe up again.
    Baked 2 ginormous sweets.
Convection oven set at 300F for 3 hours. They were perfectly done.
Will have to wait 'till I get hungry to eat one of them!

I LOVE sweet potatoes, but not with cinnamon on or in them. My favorite way is to mash them with a little brown sugar and butter - yum!

I'm betting sweet potatoes would go good in the crock pot apple pie I'm making. But mother put the nix on that idea.

Sorry, Points, but I'm with your mom on that. Baked, roasted, or mashed are the only ways to fix sweet potatoes in my book. Hey, more pie for you! ;)
