BBQ Back Ribs On The Grill

Had some ribs from our pig just labeled "pork ribs" so not sure how far off "back ribs" are from these but I loved this recipe!! I trimmed off some of the fat but not all. Made my own homemade BBQ sauce using this recipe http://allrecipes.com/recipe/25428/honey-garlic-bbq-sauce-ii/ and it was delicious! The technique of this recipe by leaving the ribs on the grill for an hour without even opening the grill is spot on. The underside gets black, almost burnt looking, but it doesn't taste burnt at all! It's delicious and fall off the bone. Kids LOVED them and kept asking for more, and that's all that matters :) :)

I LOVE barbecue, but have never made ribs on the grill. Leading a deprived - or is it depraved - life, huh? ;) We prefer a sweet BBQ sauce and that one looks good. Is it really thick? I can't tell from the list of ingredients or the recipe photo.

Looks good! I love ribs any place, any where, any time! Do you raise your own pigs?

Bakerme it get's thicker the longer you cook it so you can have it as thick or thin as you like. I cooked mine about the full recipe length and got a pretty thick sauce.

DIZ we know someone locally that raises pigs and steers (and other animals) and they process them for us as well. We usually split a pig and steer with my parents every year and a half :)
