Recipe by Jkirk: Brown Sugar Oat Bread/saved
Good bread. This is my second attempt at this recipe. First time had some yeast issues and the loaf turned out denser than it should have been. This time it's just great. Not too much more difficult than a regular loaf of white bread except for the addition of brown sugar and oats. Fits well into a 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Top crust is crustier than white bread but slices nicely when through it. Good quality for sandwiches.
Knead lightly a few times after the first rise and let it rest for 15 minutes before shaping for the loaf pan, if doing by hand.
