Cantaloupe Ice Cream

    I was so afraid that this would be bland but such is not the case. Plenty of cantaloupe flavor. Didn't follow the recipe exactly.
    Firstly the cantaloupe was on the smallish side. So I added 2c heavy cream as a make up liquid. Didn't process the cantaloupe until smooth. Left small flecks of flesh by only pulsing the food processor a couple short bursts. Blended a couple ladles scalded milk into the egg/sugar mix, then back into the milk and thickened on medium on the stove top. No double boiler. Strained and stirred egg custard into the heavy cream and chilled.
    Poured cantaloupe flesh into ice cream in the last 10 minutes of churning.
