Very good recipe! My little one was taking a late nap so when I was "pounding" my chicken I did it lightly, so my chicken was not as thin as I would have liked. Also didn't have self rising flour and thought regular would be just fine, but my crust was not near as crusty looking as wynne's pic. Don' t know if that was why or not?!?! We still LOVED it and the gravy was yum! There is actually a Mexican food restaurant called Gringos that makes an awesome CFC (I know weird) and this really reminded me of it, which is what I was hoping ;) 5 star recipe for sure!

It looks Yummy Mml2c.:-) Great pic!
If you don't have self rising flour just make this formula.
1 cup flour, plus 1 teaspoon baking powder and a pinch of salt. (1/2 tsp. or less)
I have never seen self rising flour here for sale ever. Maybe because it is so easy to make? I hope this helps you.:-)

Thanks G4U! I knew there was a mix I could throw together but I really thought it wouldn't make a difference and didn't feel like looking it up! Oh well, lesson learned. Thanks for that though, now I can write that one down in my little blue book that has all my cooking tips ;)

It's 1.5 tsp baking powder and a half tsp salt. Yes, it's so easy.

Thats such a pretty pic ml2c. I dont think I have had anything like this before. Is that gravy like the gravy that comes with biscuits abd gravy? I just ate and that pic is making me hungry all over again. Looks great
