    Chicken Fried Steak
    Meat was a little tough even after a good pulverizing with the mallet. But that's to be expected. It's not exactly tenderloin. There is no lack of gravy in this recipe. Could back off by half and still have enough.
    Used the extra flour and steak batter in the gravy ingredients so as not to be wasteful. Mother liked the gravy enough to comment on it. Guess the sugar in it from the steak batter made a good difference from regular white gravy.
    Oh, also used just egg whites in the batter 'cause I had some egg whites looking for a home after using the yolks for making a custard the other day.
