Easy Shrimp Stir Fry

I needed something quick for last night and this fit the bill! I couldn't find fresh bean sprouts even though I know my store carries them. Is there a season for bean sprouts or something? If so I wouldn't know lol. I had to use canned. Also had to sub out sugar snap peas for the snow peas. I used Coconut Aminos for the soy sauce (all-natural soy sauce substitute) and added a couple tsp. of some homemade hoisin sauce I had in the fridge, as suggested. SO GOOD!! Served over zucchini noodles. Although I was not in the mood for anything spicy, a dash of red pepper flakes would be a great addition, or sriracha as stated by Joce :)

Thanks Karen! It was good :) You can certainly cut your zucchini noodles by hand which I have done in the past, but I invested in this little gadget http://www.amazon.com/Veggetti-Spiral-Vegetable-Slicer-Veggie/dp/B00IIVRB3W/ref=sr_1_cc_3?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1409144879&sr=1-3-catcorr&keywords=vegetable+spiralizer
    I love it!

It looks SOO YUMMY, Michelle! No there isn't a season for bean sprouts. In fact you could sprout your own, anytime easily, from Mung Beans. I used to do many things like that when I was a Vegetation. Here are a few links on how to do them several different easy ways. Then you never need to deal with ones from the store again, if you don't want to. I used to just use a jar with cheesecloth on the top held with an elastic band. Here are a couple of links, but you can just Google how to do it and maybe get more ideas.

The zucchini noodles are so cool. I have looked at those gadgets and had one on my wish list at Amazon for a while. May end up back on there. :)
A delicious looking recipe! That is something I think I would really like. I'd probably end up using the canned bean sprouts, too. I kinda like them plus I don't remember seeing fresh where I shop. Beautiful picture!

I just got a chance to watch those two videos on sprouts Joce. That looks super easy, but I have no idea where to get the mung beans from? Wow, the lady in the second video seems nervous and a little awkward, but she is a sprouting machine! I didn't know that you could sprout so much stuff! Amazing!

I think you can use other beans to sprout. It has been a long time since I read anything on the subject, though. The gadget for making zucchini noodles is cool but I'm not sure I'd use it often enough to make it worth while.
