From Good4U 10 years agoIngredients
- You can adjust the type of veggies you like in this if you want. shopping list
- I or 2 cloves of fresh garlic finely chopped shopping list
- 2 tbs sesame seed oil or a plain veggie oil shopping list
- 1/2 lb of shrimp deveined and shelled fresh if you can get it. I used zipper backed and they were frozen as we aren't used to getting fresh shrimp here often:( ...but they were really good:) shopping list
- 1 and 1/2 cups of bean sprouts cleaned. I take the time to take each end off as they can be bitter tasting but that is up to you as it is a bit time consuming. shopping list
- 1 handful or more of cleaned snow peas strings removed. shopping list
- 1/2 a chopped or sliced red bell pepper I also used an orange bell pepper as well shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro or fresh parsley shopping list
- A shot of light soya sauce (optional) you could also use oyster sauce or hoisin sauce in this. You can omit adding any sauce all together if you wish. It tastes great without it too! shopping list
- Come to think about it you could give a shot of Sriracha Rooster sauce shopping list
- if you want a hot boost as well. shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- In a stir fry pan or large frying pan over medium to high heat add oil and add garlic salt and pepper cook for about three minutes. Do not overcook if you burn it start over as burnt garlic tastes very bitter.
- Then add the shrimp and stir fry until they start to turn pink. Add the snow peas, bean sprouts and bell pepper and cilantro or parsley stirring constantly then add the sauce that you are using and keep stirring for a minute or so. Place on a plate and immediately enjoy! I left the tails on the shrimp until I was ready to eat them just before I took the pic!
