    Garlic Focaccia

    A very good focaccia. First time I sprinkled salt on the top. Gives it an extra dimension although I would back off on the salt a little as a personal preference.

    I doubled the olive oil just because the first focaccia I ever made turned out the best so I copied the oil specs for it. Also doubled the recipe.

    A single recipe stretched out to an 8x12 pan would make the focaccia too skinny, in my minds eye. But a doubled recipe works out well. It stretches out to a half inch plus thickness. Makes it thick enough when baked to be sliceable for sandwiches.

    Has a good chew and flavor. Used thyme for a topping. Had to extend out the bake time for 5 to 10 minutes because the dough was thicker.
