    Recipe by Zhiannablu: German Pancake
    Didn't puff for me or come out convoluted as in the picture. Recipe has an unclear condition of the butter. My pancake came out looking like a Dutch baby that has higher edges than the center (which holds syrup quite nicely). Used mock maple syrup.
    The taste is there just wish it would have puffed for me.
    Smeared the heavy baking pan with 1T butter and spooned the 3T butter melted onto the cake, which went directly down into the cake. I distributed the butter evenly as best as I could but am wondering if the author wanted the butter to be stiff chunks or room temperature plastic so it would remain on (hopefully) the surface of the batter. Maybe that's what gives the picture that convoluted look.
    Did some research on German Pancakes and Dutch Babies. All other recipes had us preheat the baking pan before the batter goes in.
