Honey Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs Ar Myrna
There's a bit too much ketchup here for me. I also smelled a kinda burning smell at five hours so I turned it all off. The thighs I used were pretty small. I buy range free, no additives chicken so perhaps that has something to do with this. I am glad I used a slow cooker liner! Mine don't look like the recipe picture at all!

Wow, your chicken looks wonderful! In the lighting it almost has a purple color to it, but of course that is from the ketchup/soy mixture. In the authors pictures there are crusty's on the chicken, wonder what that is from, the garlic? That criss cross potato in the back ground looks awesome by the way :)

Frankie, I think your photo looks scrumptious! It looks like the chicken in the recipe photo has less kethcup *and* less soy sauce, but has a little char on it. Maybe it was the sugary honey that smelled like it was burning?? Anyway, your whole dinner looks fabulous, as always! :)

Awesome photo, Frankieanne! I think yours looks really good and flavorful with all of the sauce. I'm in agreement with you when it comes to too much ketchup. I checked out the photo on AR and saw that it belongs to *Sherri*. She was a long time photo submitter and always left great, detailed reviews with each photo. She used twice as many thighs, but reduced the amount of sauce by 1/4 because she felt like it was too much. She also seasoned the chicken with pepper, paprika, basil, oregano, and I think parsley. Then slow cooked for 6.5hrs.

I forgot to say that I think it's great you buy range free chickens. I've started to get real picky about chicken. If I buy from the store, I'll get chicken that's processed using air chilling. When I have the opportunity, I get chickens directly from a local farmer. They taste so much better!

Oh, thank you for that information, DIZ3. I was wondering why mine looked so different. I quite agree on the amount of sauce, too. I'd cut the ketchup as well.
I started getting picky about chicken recently and beef as well. I only buy grass fed and local, too, if I can get it.
    Thanks, everyone! :)
