Magic Mixed Berry Cobbler by Frankieanne
I felt like having something with ice cream and this was the perfect match. I dont make desserts often and this is why. I ate 1/2 of it tonight. I cant believe how good this is/was. I let it cool for about 5 minutes then scooped 1/4 of it on a plate with french vanilla ice cream. 5 minutes later I went back for another 1/4 and double scoop. This was so good, and so easy and quick to male. If it wasn't so late I would try for a 3rd helping :)

So...I promised not to bring up BAKING P***** again, and I need to stop "hammering" you about you-know-what. But this cobbler photo just isn't what I was expecting, why am I seeing the top of it? :) (MMM...It's a very delicious looking photo - can I have some? )

GK, you sure are a fun one. :P If and when I make this again (which I know will be sooner then later) I will remember your comment and be tempted to do you know what just so that I can get a pic for you.........and maybe start a blooper thread. Had I not done it over a cooling rack it probably would have looked OK. But it took me a couple of days before I could laugh at myself about it. It's just one of those things that you say to your self what a dummy-what the heck was I thinking.

I would gladly give you some, but believe it or not, its all gone. It was about 8:20 last night when I decided to make it. (I always have frozen mixed berries on hand because I make a lot of blended health type yogurt/juice drinks) It came out of the oven at 9:07 and before 9:30 half was gone. I had a piece this morning and just finished off the rest. This is why I don't do dessert. I wont stop, so I just stay away :( In fact I need to get this recipe off my radar. It's that good. I generally do very good at eating healthy, I just eat a lot. But recipes that taste this good and even better with ICE CREAM (which is one vice I will never kick) should not be anywhere near me. The name MrPiggy suits me well here :O

Mr. P, I somehow figured it was gone, even as I was asking for some! But I have some ripe, very juicy peaches and I'm going to make a yogurt smoothie with them tomorrow. When I drink it, I will think of you. ;)

ML2C, dont forget the french vanilla ice cream! It was awesome with the hot cobbler with crispy crust. I already wish I had more and it will take some willpower not to make it again tonight or tomorrow. In fact, now that I think of it, the sooner this thread disappears the easier it will be for me to NOT make it again :(

okay piggy this will be my last comment on this post lol! This was SO DELICIOUS!! My husband said it was the BEST cobbler he's ever had and kept going on and on about it...made me blush ;) I used frozen blueberries and strawberries in this. I served it with homemade vanilla ice cream. For some reason the breading part did not rise over my fruits just around them but I did use a little more than 2 cups and some of my strawberries were gigantic. No effect on the flavor though ;) Added my pic. Thanks Frankieanne!!!

Thanks so much for the glowing reviews. That makes me happy, especially as I guessed to the amounts of the missing ingredients. Thank you for the great picture, ml2c! So happy your husband liked it so much. :)

That's OK, ML2C. I've already decided I'm going to make it again over the weekend. :) I'm just surprised that something so easy and quick with so little ingredients can taste so good. Your pic looks delicious. Makes one want to take a big scoop right out of the middle. Those strawberries did look big. ..I'm sure your family will beg you to make it again.
