Minnesota Black-eyed Peas

    Recipe by Cabincrazyone: Minnesota Black Eyed Peas
    A wonderful bean (pea) dish.
    Made it with dry peas instead of canned. And realized too late that my bulk sausage was hot spiced. Grabbed a pound tube of breakfast sausage 'cus the store didn't have any other type bulk. I don't think I would make this any other way now that I've tasted it with some heat. It really steps up all the flavors.
    Served it with cornbread.
    A cup or so of extra water will make this into a nice chunky soup, if one would like to make it that way.
