Pie is made and looks good. Will have to wait on this one for a good review until the Christmas party. Going in the freezer in the mean time. Pic on Ahmed's recipe page is an unbaked pie. Mine is baked.
Didn't have an 11" tart pan as per his pic. Used a 10' spring form pan. Means the custard is a little deeper. So it took an additional 10 minutes bake time.

This is a good pecan pie. Half of the pie was devoured at the Christmas dinner. It's too bad I can't eat the nuts. The filling and crust is delicious. Everyone commented on the "deep dish" pie.

Warm pecan and warm pumpkin are the olny 2 pies I NEVER tired of, as long as I had french vanilla with it. Those 2 just go sooo well together. Sounds like you dinner gathering went well
