Salmon by Roseisarose

A great recipe with little fuss and full of flavor.
The flavor of the ginger, lemon and cloves is a great combination with the saltiness of the soy. Roseisarose, gives the option of of adding wine, but I used orange juice with a little more soy and ginger to balance the additional sweetness of the orange juice. Well, I think that I was on the right track but, maybe I should have not increased the ginger as much as I did. Although I like ginger, it was probably a little over powering for most. Anyhow, instead of cooking the ginger in the liquids as stated, in the microwave, I use a frying pan which allowed me to reduce the extra liquid resulting from the orange juice. I thoroughly enjoyed this recipe. I'll make it again.

This does sound very easy! Do you think this would work with other types of fish?

When you say 'cloves' are you talking about cloves of garlic or did you add clove spice?

    Hi Lillian,

In my mind, I'd recommend a strong tasting fish with such added flavours. As it was for me, I reckon that I over did the ginger. Anyhow, I used cloves of garlic.
