Savory Country Applesauce Biscuits

    A good biscuit with a moist crumb. Well risen and lightly brown in exactly the spec'ed time.
    Shhhhhhh! I used pear sauce instead of apple sauce. No one could ever tell the difference, even tasting it out of the jar.
    Used a 3' biscuit cutter. I like mine bigger. Made 9 biscuits. Recipe says 18 but that makes sense using a 2" cutter.
    Didn't use the cheese. Recipe's pic doesn't show any cheese. That's a good thing because I'm out and also doing a midnight baking. One less thing to do in the morning.
    My "applesauce" had some cinnamon in it. That's what gave my biscuits a little more coloration than the recipe's pic.
