Slow Cooker Mexican Style Beans

    Made these last week and they were delicious!! Like, no kidding I followed the instructions to a T down to even the salt and they came out perfectly seasoned when we got home. No adding any seasoning, which we usually have to mess at the last minute dealing with the slow cooker. Made a little pico to add on top when serving. Perfect!

    I have been looking for a bean recipe that is like the one I get at my mom's and my favorite Mexican place. The beans look the how their come out. I may have to try this one. Was there any tomato skin left or did the tomatoes dissolve completely?

    Thanks ladies!! FA there was a few little tomato skins left :) I think the dissolving tomatoes really add a certain flavor to the soup. Very similar to the borracho beans we get at Mexican food restaurants. We really loved this!
