Tangerine Cheesecake Ice Cream

Recipe by Cheffiona: Tangerine Cheesecake Ice Cream
    Cold, creamy, nice orange-y flavor.
BUT................and this could be my fault.............there is a bitter aftertaste, as if there was a lot of pith in the orange juice. I used a juicer to extract the juice instead of squeezing. Although I did that on my last batch of orange ice cream (different recipe) and didn't experience any aftertaste. An orange eaten straight up from this batch didn't have any aftertaste, so I'm guessing some of the pith was a little juicy and got into the juiced oranges.
That's OK. This batch is for mother. She didn't like the, in her words, greasy taste of the last batch. Last batch used heavy cream, this one is milk.
Last exception is that I used some ginormous navel oranges. The store didn't have tangerines. I looked for them.
I did use the egg yolks for a proper custard.
Will have to make this again using tangerines.

I have never seen cream cheese as an ice cream ingredient! Have you, pso? I know you make quite a bit of ice cream. That's so interesting! That sounds so good, too!
