Teriyaki Potatoes

A microwave dish that is shamefully quick.

I used russets. They worked well. Cut up a jumbo russet to simulate the tiny new potatoes quartered.
Used 1T soy sauce and 1T brown sugar to simulate Teriyaki sauce. Worked well.
Tastes good without sour cream but used sour cream anyhow.
Fifteen minute nuke time is spot on. Any more and the corners of a couple potato chunks will turn up hard.

It's almost as quick as opening up a can.

Points....YOU ARE THE MAN!!! I made the potatoes and they were amazingly good! The only thing I did differently than you, was to use the type of potatoes that were stated in the recipe and to use fresh thyme instead of rosemary. I love your Teriyaki sauce idea...I don't think I'll buy the pre-made type ever again! I'll be making these potatoes alot!

I added a photo and full review.

Recipe doubles well but add 5 minutes and one more stir because of the added load.

Made recipe with and without red pepper flakes. I prefer without. But it's good both ways. Mother even wanted more and it was the one with the red pepper flakes and she can't take too much heat. But I didn't put the full measure of red pepper in there.

Can't give her more until I make another batch. I gave her a small sampling of the taters because she had a big bowl of cornbread and milk. I wolfed down the lions' share of the teriyaki fare.

Yeah, I know it rimes. So hit me with a rubber chicken.

    lol!...rubber chicken!

Cornbread and milk! My Grandma used to eat a bowl of Italian bread and milk! It used to gross me out...but she was such a sweetie, I could never tell her that! I did almost throw up alittle everytime she would offer me some though! lol! She was the best Grandma in the world!!! Thanks for reminding me of her! :)

    BTW...the leftover potatoes re-heat perfectly!
