I came across a jar of preserved lemons at TJ's a couple weeks ago and felt a strong urge to buy it lol, and at $2.50, thought it was a good deal. Have found a couple recipes on this site, but decided on this one today. Made my own tortilla chips to go with this, I feel like it's more of a salsa than a salad. If you haven't had preserved lemons, try them! Salty, yet slightly sour and sweet. They just have a fresh, bright and unique flavor that is hard to explain. Loved this by the way, delicious little recipe :) :)

That's very cool Michelle and indeed it makes a perfect salsa. I have heard of preserved lemons and have been intrigued but wouldn't have known what to do with them. $2.50/jar sounds like a very good deal.

I've never tried preserved lemons before, I've candied them and dried lemon zest, but never had them preserved. I must try soon!

Darn! Every time I check to make sure the link works, it says 'page not found'! The hit I found online said 30+ recipes with preserved lemons - MJs Kitchen. When I click on the link, the recipes come up with the above address, but doesn't seem to work now. When I type in 30+ recipes - MJs Kitchen, it does! Weird. ANYway, maybe you can find something there :)

And just now the link *did* work! Oy!
