Wonton Soup

    Wonton Soup

I actually did this recipe on Monday so a little behind in my IMI for sure. One of the reasons is that I had picked up frozen wontons instead of making them but I do want to mention about the rest of the soup. It was delicious for sure and reminded me of soup I have had at restaurants. Will be making again and next time will do the full recipe.

Wow, I'm impressed that you tackled such an involved recipe, Nadine. It looks good, but more work than I want to do! Lazy lazy lazy ;)

LOL Bakerme that is why I used store bought Wontons in the recipe. Helps in making for sure.

I've made my own egg rolls in the past and, let me tell you, it's a time consuming job! They taste good, but don't make them unless you have half a day to devote to them! I imagine it's the same with making wontons.

Oh Bakerme I have not done egg rolls but done wonton and ravioli and yes they are time consuming but oh so worth the time.

Wow, that looks delicious but time consuming, if you make it from scratch.
Are you going to rate it? :-)

I do not know if I should since I had cheated and used store bought wontons. Part of me fells that I should do the full recipe to rate it. What do you think Frankieanne. As the soup base is spot on in flavour.

Its up to you, Nadine. I always feel that unless someone makes some outrageous substitute and then says it turned out awful as in "I substituted sauerkraut for chocolate chips and the cookies turned out horrible!" that it is OK to rate something that turned out great. But, it is up to you, of course. :)

Ha! You need to know about my rule - don't drink and type. Which I never follow! :-P

Hmmm, if you drain the sauerkraut really really well, maybe a little would work in chocolate chip cookie dough to give you that sweet and sour flavor combo. I'm not gonna try it, but I'm just sayin' ;)
