Ceylonta Saturday

Good Morning ODD! It's a lovely bright day here in the Ottawa Valley and the coffee just beeped to say it's done so, so far the day is shaping up well! :)
The burgers and potato salad were a hit last night but my poor Ottawa Senators lost again to Pittsburgh although we didn't get wiped like we did the first game.:)
Not exactly sure what we're up to today. Maybe go to a Museum. This evening we'll do dinner at Ceylonta, a Sri Lankan restaurant we go to a fair amount.

I wouldn't mind a quick poke around the Carp Farmer's Market either.
Benjamin sent me a bunch of pictures this morning of the School he's teaching at. :) This picture shows the branch he teaches at on Wed. and Sat.'s. He moves around between different branches. This one is the Yonghe Branch.
Yum on your Taco salad last night Laurie. Great idea for your Men's fragrance contest.
I could go for a slice of your banana bread with my coffee Tina! :)
Lori, I think you get Bryan home today! Have a great weekend.
To everyone else....Wishing you a most excellent day.

Very neat pic of the school Ben teaches at Janet. Yes it is a very nice day and enjoy showing your company places of interest and your dinner out.

Den is out working on the garden paths today and our neighbourhood is having our yearly yard sale so it is very busy out on the street today. Gee Den said he saw people walking around at 6:00 AM this morning! Some people are very dedicated or addicted to yard sales I guess. LOL I don't need anymore junk here myself but more power to them. Laurie, what a great idea you have to increase sales. I hope it works for you:)
Wow on Bryan coming home today! It never ceases to amaze me how fast things are done today. I hope he is doing very well or as well as expected. A very Happy belated Birthday and Anniversary wish to Dahlia. I am having braised scallops for dinner with risotto and a salad. I should get outside and see if I can help Den at all!

Hoping everyone has a great day and I could do with a piece of banana bread right now too!

Morning Joce! We've decided to head downtown to the Tulip Festival. There is a bunch of Folklore dancing going on at City Hall that my niece would like to watch. It's a gorgeous day for working in the garden. I just came in from planting some annuals in my oak barrel. Yum on your scallops. Have a great day.

    Good morning:)

Good news on Bryan! Well wishes going his way.

Janet, I love Tulips, have fun!! Sounds like a beautiful day ahead! Love the pic of Benjamin's school where he teaches, how cool:)

Joce, your dinner sounds just wonderful..I haven't made risotto is such a long time..we just ;love it. I'm with you on yard sales.I DO NOT NEED any more stuff!! .I so need to clean out our garage, but just can't get motivated..there's always tomorrow..lol

Wow, I have to figure out what to have for dinner again??? Pork chops for Rick, and maybe a nice chef salad for both of us..:)

We don't have any plans today (I bet your thinking it would be a good day to get started on our garage...LOL) I wouldn't mind having something fun & exciting to do for a change..but what? I do believe we are in some sort of a rut:( I'll see what I can come up with!

Today is the Memorial picnic for Camp Redbird. Out the door for a quick stop to see Ty's friends. Dropping off Fred, cupcakes, donation and trusting that my former sil will bring him home, otherwise, he has cab fare. Picnic caught me unaware this year. 10th year.....gulp. Both Livia and I have to work and can not stay for the whole day.
Taking the two loaves of banana bread to share with co-workers.

Enjoy the Tulip Festival...how lovely. Lovely menu, have a great supper Ceylonta, Janet.

Joce, an annual yard sale for the whole block...wow, that would take dedication to be up perusing at that hour....heck, I could just stay up and arrive punch drunk and buy.
Yum on scallops. You know I love scallops.

Hugs to all, have to get going........Fred is yelling at me. Work in going to be a long day.

    Thanks for the birthday wishes!!!

Janet, the tulip festival and dinner sound great as does the farmers market.

Marie, I'm with you.. I need to purge more stuff. Have been chipping away at it. My closet is nearly done.

    Joce, your dinner sounds delish!

Tina, hope your day goes by quicker than you think.

I'm going to finish preparing the cheesecake today... Just make & add the blueberry topping. Can't wait to taste the finished product! My first cheesecake. Consulted several recipes then went off on our own. Also on today's agenda: going to see The Great Gatsby and going out for lunch /dinner as we continue to celebrate my bday through the weekend. Hope you all have a great Saturday!
