Flying Friday?

Wishing Janet and Jim a safe trip home.

Olivia is taking Fred to his check up with eye doctor. Today is fraught with tension. Our dogs were channeling Karen's cats. They burst out the back door and escaped through the fence gate. The lawn guy is a favorite target for them to terrorize. We know they don't bite but their size alone gives them a ferocious intent. Fred heard the guy yelling for help. It was a dog round up from that point. They are looking very contrite. Charlie keeps trying to paw the laptop for me to pet him. I am ignoring him.

I have to call Angie and find out how to remove the nail overlays without breaking my natural nail underneath. I can't afford the mani/pedi anymore. I am bereft. My gossip hour and pampering is too much for the budget.

Supper last night was easy and delicious. Fred complained that he had to peel his shrimp and then had to eat corn off the cob. Such suffering. Honestly.

We might just take a drive over the Skyway Bridge to Ellenton just for entertainment this evening. Fred might like a stop at Chumlee's for a burger. As long as it is cheap, cheap.

Hugs all. Have a great day.

Tina, LOL I love the Canadian flip flop on ice blades:) The other puns too:) I know Charlie and Molly wouldn't hurt a flea. They were just a bit excited to be free:) Fred has such a hard life, I agree:) Den is like that when it comes to food he doesn't like to work eating it either! What is really up with that? I hear you on why you need to cut back your spending, now you aren't working. You are wise to try to be very frugal from now on. I hope Angie can fix your nails to your satisfaction today. I remember you talking about Chumlee's before. Isn't that where you can get a pitcher of beer for only $5.00 and everything was very good at an incredibly low price?

Well wonders never cease, Janet! You had deep fried zucchini and you liked it! I am very impressed:) LOL and you know what I don't like particularly care for deep fried zucchini, generally it is soggy and greasy, but I bet it wasn't there! Gee and then Jim ate deep fried calamari too! It sounds like it was an outstanding dining experience for both of you.
I am glad you had a good time last night:) Sending very safe, comfortable, timely traveling today for both of you today and please bring back the sun:)

Karen, Very cool and interesting you were able to work in libraries for so many years . I hear you on now everything seems to be computerized. I hope A.C. has a good Cat-titude today:)

Michelle, How did the meatballs with cauliflower buns turn out last night?

Marie, How did Rick enjoy his Elk burger?

Shona??? I am hoping maybe it is just, b/c you are moving and are not able to get on the internet yet? Is everything alright out west?

Den will have his normal Friday meal, grilled rib eye steak and fries and I am having have a Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon with sauteed mushrooms and zucchini with a baked potato with sour cream and chives. We ended out having mac & cheese last night, which is easy to make in a pinch:) I am being lazy today, what else is new:)

A Very Happy TGIF to Everyone!

Tina - burgers a guy's best friend. Too bad about all the extra work peeling shrimp and eating corn on the cob. That must also be a guy thing. Wayne dislikes peeling the shrimp, also, but he likes corn on the cob.

The guys just left to go bale hay. IF the baler behaves! I offered to drive if needed but his buddy brought his son in law to help with the heavy stuff, so I am sitting here doing nothing until I get around to fixing lunch. They all brought sandwiches since it will be a few hours in the field. So I have no idea if lunch is on the menu. If it is, maybe the gazebo. ??? I will fix a tuna pasta dish and if they are hungry they will have something. If not, we will have it later.

I just got back with the CSA box. We have watermelon, hot peppers, sweet pepper, apples, potatoes, lettuce, onion, parsley, 2 eggplants, 1 zucchini, 1 cucumber, 1 acorn squash, 1 dozen eggs. They give you a choice of watermelon or cantaloupe. Since Wayne couldn't go with, I didn't add anything because that box is heavy!

A.C. is strolling around the house, looking for trouble. He has to be removed from polite company when anyone stops by, because he swats and / or bites if anyone teases or pets him more than he wants. He is living up to his nickname, "The bad kitty."

The next few days are to hit 100 to 101 F. Not my favorite.

The thought occurred to me that we have not been to Bulgogi House for some time. Have to see what time everything is finished - Friday it is better to go early. Or maybe we won't. I have plenty to fix here. Decisions, decisions. LOL

Hi all! Lol at your crazy dogs Tina!! I would be scared to of unknown big dogs running at me, you just never know! Oh gosh, good luck with getting those nails off. Your nails underneath are going to be so fragile. I remember getting mine of and there was holes in my real nails, boy was that painful! Lol at poor Fred and his "difficult" dinner last night :P Don't ever cook him any crab legs!
Joce, I want your dinner tonight! The cauliflower rolls need work. They taste good and look good, but are VERY fragile. I'm thinking I should maybe add another egg and double the flour? I will play around with it and see what happens :)
Awesome on the CSA box Karen, I love everything in it :) Bulgogi House sounds like a good plan for dinner!
Janet, have a safe flight, will talk to you soon!
    Hi Marie!! Hi Shona!!
When I went school shopping the other day at Justice I realized my coupons didn't start until today, but we already had a load of clothes picked out. SO I went ahead and payed for everything then, took the receipt back up there today along with my coupons and they gave me my $65 bucks back :) Stopped by the meat market to restock on bacon and chicken. Have my 1 week eye check up in a bit, hope all is well! Today is my last day to do eye drops, yay! It was 6 drops a day and they blur my vision for about 15 minutes, so it was quite annoying. I pulled out a ham steak for dinner and I think I'm just going to chop it up and do a hash with sweet potatoes and asparagus. Hope everyone has a nice day :)

Aw Michelle, I hear the complaints with Fred's drop regimen four times a day. He is the most non-compliant impatient patient. I tried to nap a bit. I'm down in the dumps today and I thought a cuddle with the misbehaving canines would help. But, alas and alack, my c-pap is not working. I startle awake because I stop breathing. Dogs hate the lawn mower, not the man driving it. I think he thinks he is going to cutoff a limb from the twosome trying to chew the wheels.

Karen, did you get a gazebo lunch after all? What a haul in that box. I'm jealous, m'dear. I love my veggies. No worries on the SP, we do it all the time. I just have to refresh over and over to see if I missed someone while I type along.

I might just make a tuna casserole for tonight. I'm in the mood for creamy comfort food and I can toss it together even cheaper than a burger at Chumlee's. Fred can suffer through another home cooked meal. And he won't eat ribs because they are too messy. Crab unless it is in a crabcake won't pass his lips, again, it is too messy too. Men. He will be happy with the wilted spinach with lemon and garlic. He is a closet Popeye.

Yes, Joce, Chumlee's is the home of the ,99 cent draft beer. And hot wings and terrific cheese burgers. I'm not up for the boisterous crowds they draw on Friday nights. Your dinner sounds fab as always.

Howdy to all. Have a great start to your weekend. Time to boil some noodles.

Tina : https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060907105453AAmHJ7T is a link for removing acrylic nails.

Wayne is mowing the lower field - in an air conditioned tractor so I am not worried - if he finishes in time we will go out. If not, I have a cold tuna pasta dish - the guys had a cold Gatorade and went home to stack hay and did not stay for lunch. They plan on baling Monday. As dry as it is tomorrow would work.

I munched on leftover skewered meat / cheese / grapes, and am hungry again but it is after 4, so will wait to see if it is Bulgogi House or pasta salad. We have a LOT of tuna pasta salad.

Mel is asleep on my lap so it is one handed typing. Fun.

    Welcome home, Janet!

    Hi to everyone else.

Thank you so much for the link, Karen. Saved me a search since I couldn't get Angie on the phone. I hope you get to Bulgogi House. My tuna casserole is in the oven toasting the bread crumbs on top. I'm hungry too. Hurry up oven!

I've lost two posts from random paws! I'm going to ban them from the room. Feels like 105 outside. I'm gong to buy ice for the dog kiddie pool. Charlie nudges the ice lever on the fridge and drops cubes to munch on and he is now dropping enough for all the dogs. It is treacherous with a cold wet tile floor. I am going to tape over the controls to stop his pilfering.

I'm home and have read up on all the posts. Dog tired though so shall chat tomorrow morning. Tina, do be careful with the acetone. We used to sell it and use it at the Hardware store and it's powerful stuff. Try use it in a well ventilated area as it'll make you high as a kite and give you a killer headache.
    Home sweet home.

Tina - love your smart dog! Go Charlie Go! Yes, when Mel walks across my lap the keyboard does weird things when his paws stray! I have lost posts, also.

We had a cat that got mad when we left, and walked across the mantel throwing things to the floor.

Acetone is also in some nail polish remover, so you might try that if the acetone is too volatile. Or sit outside away from the prevailing winds - LOL. Don't they just grow out on their own if you leave them be? I'm not familiar with them because my nails are fragile enough and don't really tolerate nail polish, let alone acrylic.

Bulgogi House was good. They must have a different cook because their medium spicy pork bulgogi was HOT! Next time we order mild!

I have Mel on my lap so to avoid one-hand typing I best go. Bye all.
