Motoring on Monday....

Good Morning Everyone! Jim and I are going to McDonald's for breakfast this morning on the way to a Dr.'s appointment for me and a quick run to Costco for bird seed. Have a bit more packing to do this morning before we head off to Jim's Dad's cottage for the next few days. He has a leak in the roof Jim is going to patch for him which should hold out until they get a new metal roof put on hopefully sometime this fall.

We got about two hours worth of rain this morning and may get more as the day goes on. My lawn and the veggies will be very happy and it'll save Jim trucking out water to the garden before we leave today. :)

Gotta go clean out the fridge and hop in the shower.

Wishing everyone a really nice day. Pic below is from Benjamin (I think he just got it off the Internet)....just showing the area close to where he has now moved in Pingtung. It's tropical there.

    Happy Monday!

Lucky you getting all that rain, Janet. They were calling for thunderstorms overnight and that didn't happen here! We got a wee bit this morning but not enough to really wet anything. I hope everything goes well at the Doctor and have a great time at the cottage.
Sending safe travels your way. Beautiful pic!
I have to pound the pavement today to look for a birthday gift for my BGF. I don't have a clue what to buy her. If all else fails sterling silver earrings usually work, if they have something nice in stock. Dinner will be a repeat of last night's pork roast etc.
    Wishing everyone a super day!

Good Afternoon everyone! Wishing you a great start to the week.

Good luck with your Dr. appointment Janet, hope all is and goes well. Costco runs are always fun and we'll be making one ourselves later for meats. Hope your time at the cabin is relaxing and Yipee! on your much needed rain. The picture you linked is beautiful!

Hoping you get rain Joce. Isn't it just a bummer when it rains only enough to get everything wet and nothing more. Are there any specialty shops in your area? Perhaps a gift basket of some sort of unusual items that are treats.

Not much going on today. Have Kenpo later and will run some errands after, one of them being to Costco. I need to look into some type of photo editing software. Just something basic. If anyone has any ideas I welcome them. Thanks.

There are a few shops here that are specialty shops, however, I will have to mail the parcel as she lives in Ottawa and I am not certain she will be there for her birthday. Sending a gift basket might not be a good idea. I use "Ribbit" for photo editing and it is great and very easy to use. You can do many things easily with it and you can also undo everything and start over which is great I think I pay something like $29.95 for it per year. I also use "Picasa" which free but you can't do as many things with it. "Ribbit" and "Picasa" are very compatible. Lol I can't live without them:)

Here is the link. I think they will let you fool around with it to see how you like it.

Routine Dr.'s stuff, no problemo, thanks Joce! How are you feeling today? Did Den have a good trip back?

Have fun at Costco Linda! We just bought bird seed, old cheese and toothpaste so were in and out in a flash. That being said I have to return Friday to stock up on fruit and veggies and meat for our visitors this weekend. Have fun at Kenpo, that must mean your back is feeling a little better. I have IPhoto on my Mac that works well and I use Microsoft Picture Manager? on my laptop and I've used Picassa before, is that what you mean?

Time to do up the dishes and pack a bit more and we're out of here!

    Good morning!

Wow, it looks beautiful there! I'd be at the beach all the time if I lived there, Benjamin must be happy! Enjoy your time at the Cottage :)

Hi Joce, gosh I haven't bought a gift for a girlfriend in eons, I wouldn't know what to buy! Linda's suggestion is nice :)

Hi Linda, I most often use Windows Live photo gallery and editing that came with my computer. My old Nikon camera came with it's own editing cd, but my newer Canon camera did not and I'm happy with the Windows one now. If I want to make collages or specialty pictures, I go to Picmonkey.com--free and no need to download anything. I use to Picasa on my old computer, it's Google based, and free as well (Picasa also has a mobile app) If you want to splurge and buy software, then Adobe Photoshop is one of the best. It use to be well over a hundred dollars, now it's much cheaper.

Not much going on today. I have chicken already cooked to make a quick skillet chicken parmesan, very similar to this one: Quick Skillet Chicken And Macaroni Parmesan I might go out and tackle some more weeds or sand the walls...not sure which is worse, lol ;) When the boy wakes up, I think we'll take the dogs to the dog park. They have wonderful trails there, so it makes for a great hike through the woods.

    Have a great day everyone!

That Chicken macaroni dish looks yummy and easy Shona! Have fun at the dog park.

Caiden will enjoy those swim lessons I'm sure Michelle. It'll tire him out too by the end of the day I expect. :) Wow on your busy day.

Jim and I just arrived at the cottage. It's gorgeous out. Jim's going to go and hop in the lake in just a bit.

We're grilling steak for dinner tonight and probably a salad on the side.
