Snow Snow Sleet Sunday

Good morning everyone. We did not get 18 inches more like 8 but not it is turning into freezing sleet. Frank was up an out at 8am with the snow blower.
Dinner was good last night but they must use a lot of salt. I was sooo thirsty all night. Then we went to my friends house for cake. My other friend took a cake class so it was made by her. She is very talented. She put Star Wars figures that she handmade with fondant and sugar glue on top. It was cute and yes my friend is turning 50 not 5 but she loves Star Wars.
I had fish tacos brought my leftovers to Becca.
    Fribro is cranky.

Pictures are of Joyjoy in her chair. Who is telling her we are getting rid of he chair?
Second is the new set we purchased yesterday. The third is my high school friends all turning 50 except one that is a few years older from last night.

    Good Morning Everyone.

Woke up at 5:30 to heavy rain and wind but it didn't last long, maybe 15 minutes. However it's going to bring in a cold front and breezy winds. Good day to stay inside but I think we are due for a trip to the gym since we haven't been in 3 days. Going to thaw chicken pot pie filling and make pot pies for dinner.

Someone is ringing doorbells late at night in our development. Not sure if it's teens who are bored or something more sinister. Several people have posted on the community's FB page, over the last couple weeks about it. It happened to my neighbor 2 doors down last night around 10:00 p.m. She wouldn't go to the door. It could be a lure to get you to open your door and/or walk outside and then … well …

Glad you didn't get tons of snow Laurie. Hoping it warms up enough so the rain has a chance to run off and not freeze but I'm seeing temps are suppose to drop. Will Joy be getting a new fluffy big bed for the living room?

Poor baby Wyatt. I hope the surgery helps him Kimmer. Awful for a little guy to have to go thru all that. Tor's party sounds fun!

How did you sister's surprise go Michelle?

Joce how did Den's appointment go? How are you feeling?

    Did more snow come Janet?

What did you fix for the potluck Karen?

Good Morning Laurie! I was just about to start a thread myself and I was going to entitle mine `Snowed In Sunday`. LOLOLOL. Looks like we`re in the same boat. Glad you didn`t get the 18 inches. 8 inches is a lot on it`s own. I`m gonna guess we`ve had maybe 4 or 5 inches so far but it`s supposed to continue for the rest of the day. They`re saying not to go out if you don`t have to. Plus it`s still very cold. Glad you had a nice time out last night and cute on the Star Wars cake. Sorry your Fibro is acting up :( The new sectional is lovely. When`s it getting delivered? I like the cushions.

I think I`ll make Poached Eggs on toast with fried tomatoes for breakfast. I may make Linda`s
    Mia Cucina Italian Wedding Soup
at some point today as well.
Dinner is going to be Don`s
Italian Chicken Escalopes With Wine And Lemon
and a tossed salad on the side.

Just gonna lay low today. I`ve got three books to look over and a couple of magazines I got in my Christmas stocking that I haven`t looked at yet. I have to portion and freeze the chicken broth I made the other day.

I`ll have to venture out in the snow to go feed the birds in a little bit. I haven`t seen the turkeys at all which is odd. They`re usually down out of the trees by 7:45.

    Wishing everyone a lazy Sunday.

    SP Janet.
I bet the turkey's are hiding in shrubs trying to stay warm. Maybe once you put the feed out they'll show up. Sounds like a good day to stay in but I'm sure it'll be anything but lazy for you.

Oh goodness! SP indeed Linda! I didn`t see you there! Ugh at the 5:30 wake up! :( YUMMM on chicken pot pie. I could totally go for some of that! Weird on the ringing doorbells. Guess one could get a small security camera or something aimed at the front door? Good luck at the gym. Jim went out to get his steps in yesterday afternoon. It was so flipping cold I opted not to go but he is a lot more dedicated and LESS lazy than I. :) LOL! I do lazy quite well.

Do you still have your treadmill Janet?
I have a security camera that I can place in a window to see what's going on and I did hook it up last night. Going to get in the habit of doing it more often.

LOLOL. Yes, we still have our treadmill. LOL. Jim suggested that as well. I chose not to listen. :) Good that you hooked up the security camera. It`d be nice to find out if it is just kids or something more sinister. And you guys have a secure neighbourhood too right? So you have to be signed in or whatever? So that means it has to be someone who lives there?

Joy already has a nice bed in the living room. She likes the chair because she can see out the window. The chair is completely ripped under the cover from her laying on the backside of it. I wanted to hold off and keep the chair and just get a couch but Frank really wanted a sectional.

Our neighborhood is nice … all of the neighborhoods on this road are nice and all are gated but that is the very thing that attracts the "no-good" type of criminal too. It's ridiculously easy to find areas to walk in and easy enough too to hop the fence.

And is the sectional going to be under the window and is Joy going to be allowed on the sectional Laurie? :) LOL. The trials and tribulations of Pet Ownership eh!

Gotcha on the walk in spots and hopping the fence Linda.

Got the soup made and it sure smells yummy. I was a little shy on Parmesan but think it`ll be okay.

The one ingredient short fairy must be hiding in my pantry as I only had one egg when I went to make breakfast so we ended up having a slice of peanut butter toast and then I cut up and fried some leftover potatoes from the other night and we shared some of those. Then when I went to grab a lemon out of the crisper for tonight`s chicken....you guessed it..no lemon Argh. So now I need to think of something else to make with b/s thighs.

Good afternoon and hello to all. Nice sectional Laurie! Yikes on someone ringing doorbells Linda! Hopefully it's just idiot teenagers. We have a couple teenagers in this neighborhood that always seem to be up to no good. We have a creek that runs along the side of our house and a little cement bridge on both sides of the main road right next to our cul de sac Some graffiti got painted on the bridge facing our house. It just says Hi but still we have to see it everyday. Could have been worse I guess, word wise! Our property line actually goes half way into the creek and right up to the bridge but I would assume the county owns the bridge. We are going to see what we could get done about it. Either through the Association or contacting the county directly. These two boys have horrible, horrible mouths on them and cussed out my husband one day. Bad mistake there, lol! Had to hold him back and remind him they are under age! The one teen was actually trying to get my hubs to hit him! Anyway, after that happened we installed security cameras out front. We have two in front of the house and then one that faces our front door. We have a walk way to the door so it's not seen out front. When it's armed we get alerts on our phones when someone approaches. We only arm it at night or when we leave the house as it's always going off with us and the boys going in and out. It's also good for seeing what time of night the boys come in on the weekends, lol! Rather annoys them! Too bad! Sorry about the one ingredient short fairy lurking about Janet. Hate when that happens. Took a look at my pantry today and I really, really need to clean and straighten it up!

It's a cold and blustery day here today. Suppose to go down in the low 40's I think. Which IS cold for us and it's a wet cold to boot. Wanted to bake today to warm the house up so made a batch of chocolate cookies. Just finished and the house is nice and warm and smells delightful. Going to make a pot of potato soup for dinner tonight. Good cold weather food. Will have that with some warm crusty bread and garlic butter.

Hope all enjoy the rest of this Sunday and stay warm!!

Snow snow everywhere! I guess it is winter / January / after all. Shame on the one-ingredient-short fairy.

The sectional is pretty, does Joy get to have a spot or will you relocate some pieces to deny access to window gazing? Our cats have pushed dents into the top of our couch.

Trying to egg your husband into hitting them is scary, Kimmer. These brats are evidently seasoned juvenile offenders. Good you stopped him but part of me would have liked to see them clobbered. Ha!

Ugh on doorbell ringing. I suppose you can't talk to their parents - video of them ringing doorbells would be good - esp. if you showed it to their parents / the police / your lawyer etc.

It is cold here - 26 F. The big blizzard fizzled into some snow and some ice that is long gone.

Church attendance was low. Some churches closed. Daughter got about 3 inches of snow, we got a skiff. I am tired and ready to crash. Mauser is on my lap seeking a free area near the laptop.

    Have a nice day.
