Tales of Tuesday

    Good brrrrr Morning everyone.

At the groomer with LD. Little guy is getting his haircut of all things. I'll have to pull out his winter wear because it's brrrrr and will need to keep him warm. Attached is his lastest photo taken a few weeks ago.
We were so lazy yesterday. The only thing I did was make roasted applesauce and heat up dinner. All the Harry Potter movies were playing back to back so we watched them till we went to bed.
What's everyone else up to today?

Morning! Awww..LD is SO cute!! Is he a Shih Tzu? I was pretty lazy yesterday too. Today will be more productive lol.

Girls are still sleeping in the living room on the pull out bed. Caiden and I are snuggled up in Bri's room trying to be quiet since Michael is sleeping also. Debating what breakfast will be. The kids want to go to Chick Fil A today, so we are doing that then I'm taking Emma home and Bri has pitching lessons with that college girl again. Last one with her before she heads back to her dorms! It has really been the best experience, Bri learned a TON and has her screw and curve ball down almost perfectly.

Also I think we have batting coach tonight, but I need to text her to make sure she is doing it. It will be an expensive day lol.

Pulled out some garlic chicken sausages for tonight. Not sure what I'm doing with them, maybe just slice up in a quick stir fry? Have a great day everyone!!!

Maltese. 6.7 pounds of all heart and love.
Has it warmed up there Michelle? That's great the college girl helped Bri and that she is doing so well. Think they will stay in touch with one another?

Oh okay a Maltese! We used to have a Shih Tzu and they look pretty similar :)

I'm hoping that she stays in touch with us. It would be awesome for her to give us lessons when she's here. I have her number so she may be hearing from me come Spring Break lol.

It has not warmed up lol. It's teetering on 29 degrees and 30 degrees right now. we wrapped our faucets and pipes last night and all of our plants are inside. This is a freezing winter for Texas!!

LD is adorable, Linda! Glad you had a lazy day yesterday.

It is -1F here at the moment feeling like -16 F with the windchill, if that makes you feel warmer, Michelle. Excellent that Bri is learning so much from the college girl. I am sure it will play off in the end. Good idea to bring your plants inside. I have never had garlic chicken sausages before.

We ended up having pot roast for dinner last night and Den is finishing up the other part of the freezer room today. We were able to empty the freezer and put everything that was in it in the garage where it will stay frozen until we get the freezer back into its place. It is snowing again. UGH! I have a hair appointment this afternoon for a cut and colour with highlights which I am looking forward to. Lol just not looking forward to going out into the cold to clean my car off. Oh well! Dinner will be leftover roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes and a veggie of some kind.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

Ugh on having to go out in bad weather Joce. But a brand new "do" will feel great and be worth it. Just be careful if there is snow still on the roads.
    Leftovers sound perfect!

Finally decided on dinner and pulled out half a chix to roast tonight. It's perfect for us because I favor the white meat and DH favors the dark. I'll use up what ever veggie is in the fridge that needs to be used. Not sure if we are still in lazy mode and going to the gym tomorrow or if we will get motivated and go this afternoon ... Hmmm?

    Hi all.

LD is a cute dog, good picture!

Sounds like the girls are having a good time, Michelle.

This morning was about -1F, it is up to about 14 now, should hit low 20's.

Wayne canceled his physiotherapy appt due to his sinus stuff. He is taking everything but the kitchen sink so we hope some part of it works! Ha ha.

Need to water horses and chickens this afternoon. Ugh! Good news is the wood stove is warming the house....it is up to 64 already. He decided that the heat needs to go to the back bathroom so opened the bedroom door, which creates a draft that is too doggone cold! I will be glad when the temps warm up!

Pot roast sounds so good, Joce! Will probably have the corned beef unless I wait until tomorrow. Wayne ants to run errands later but Imthink he should stay home and rest.

Got to scoot. Have a good day!

Bummer on Wayne still not feeling well Karen. Yes, he should stay home till he is feeling better, sinus pain is the worst. Hopefully something will kick in. What about a warm compress?

I relayed your message, Linda. He went "Hmmph" and sipped the cup of hot tea with honey in it. I think he will give in and stay home willingly. LOL!

Laundry is my priority today. After getting out of pj's and into normal clothes! Ha!

Fritz is in his bed, back to the stove. Cats are all over....Mel and Trouble on the couch, Mauser on my lap, AC somewhere debating what mischief to get into.

Ut-Oh ... I got the "hmmph". If you have peppermint essential oil place a drop or two in a bowl of hot water and inhale the vapors.

Will try that. He decided he HAD to get the old recliner outside, about wore himself out! He retrieved and plugged in the humidifier and is now in his recliner recuperating. Men!

HURRAY! LET THE BELLS RING OUT LET THE STEEPLES CHIME!!!! MY INTERNET IS BACK, MY INTERNET IS BACK!!!! LOLOLOL! Repair guy showed up this afternoon. Something had been tightened too tightly and it leaked? so he replaced the part no charge and we're back in business. It's the WORST being cut off from the internet. Ugh.

Fun that you watched all the Harry Potter movies yesterday Linda. I love them. Hope LD's groomer appointment went well.

So nice that Bri really got a lot out of her private pitching lessons with that girl Michelle. Yum on your sausages for dinner. Sorry to hear Spot died. I too would find it too hard to have a pet die on me when their lifespan is only a couple of years. Yikes on your weather. Jim's Dad won't be impressed. Wow on having to wrap your pipes and faucets and bring in your plants from outside.

Our weather was awful today. Cold, cold this morning and then snow all day long 'til late afternoon. I opted not to go to the Book Chat as the plows hadn't even been out and I heard the roads were bad.

Hope your hair appointment went well and that you're pleased Joce. Yum on your dinner.

Sorry to hear Wayne is sick Karen. :( Very wise decision not to go with leather when you have cats and a dog. Cat claws would totally leave marks in the leather no problemo. I've seen that Micro suede and it's very nice.Typo of yours from yesterday made me guffaw out loud....."Enough of my navel." ROFL. Too funny. Darn tablets eh! How did you enjoy your sauerkraut yesterday?

Wow on you having to bring your air plants in Kimmer. I love air plants. My girlfriend sells them at her shop. I've bought about four of them but always seem to kill them. :(

Marinating a flank steak for dinner and having Edamame on the side. Sens Game on TV tonight.

Undecorated my Christmas tree today and did a thorough sweep of the house to store all the other Christmas decorations. Re-decorated my fireplace mantel but am not happy with it.

Also had a stack of magazine almost a foot and a half tall underneath an end table in the family room and since I didn't have my computer to play on in the evenings while I watch TV I went through them, ripped out things I wanted and recycled everything else. Big job and now it's empty and clean. :)

It’s freakin freezing here! It was -3f this morning.
I made turkey chili for dinner.
Had a great party NYE. About 16 people. I made Chinese food crab Rangoon, egg rolls, chicken wings, orange chicken from Trader Joe’s. Everyone brought stuff too. Then at like 12:30 everyone just started cleaning lol I think my house was cleaner after the party!
I took like a 3hour nap yesterday on the couch. Was planning on going grocery shopping but too cold. I have to go at some point since I am trying to eat healthy. I have gained so much weight.
