Good heavens, I woke up parched. So thirsty, filled up my 64 ounce jug and I'll probably go through it 3 times at this rate. It has been a very rainy early morning. I have an emergency visit to rheumatology today. I'm going to see Angie and get my nails fixed, hopefully if the achy body allows.

Our crab risotto with arugula was super delicious. I'm going to make the turkey tenderloin for our late lunch since my nail appointment is at 6:00 pm. Went to bed at 4:00 a.m. and got up at 7:15. Will try to squeeze in a rest before the doctor.

The dogs were playful this morning and their sparring and play growls were very entertaining. It is all well and good until one gets too rough....and today Lola Jane was a battering ram of rambunctious pug.

Okay, friends, please vote on the nails you like best. I know it is a frivolous vanity, but it is a moment of respite and laughter in my life.

Hah, they just did a study reported in the NY Times that indicates dogs exhibit a primordial display of jealousy. I didn't need any study to tell me that fact, I witness it daily. Silly people.

Jim's in a grumpy mood this morning. Work stuff. Poor guy. Had a very nice chat with Benjamin first thing. They cancelled his classes yesterday as there was a Typhoon warning but he said it was very mild.
Lovely cool morning out. I've got to run and eat some breakfast and get out to the deck to stain it before the sun hits it full on.

Hi Janet! Sorry to hear Jim's a grouch lol! Work would make that way too :) Yikes on the typhoon, glad it was only mild! Your dinner sounds like the perfect summer meal :)
Today we are taking the kids to Peter Piper Pizza. A new one just opened up about 20 minutes down the road so we are going to give it a try. I'm thinking it's kinda like a Chuck e Cheese? Should be fun :) Dinner tonight will be meatless! I'm going to make Kale Mac N Cheese along with another veggie side dish. I have a lot of veggies I need to use up before they go bad lol! Finished staining all three decks. It was just spot touch ups not the complete thing but it was a goodly amount of work. Swept and weeded the back interlock as well. It's a lovely day out there.

Had a productive day. Just finishing off the potato salad and refilling the Hummingbird feeders.

Took Rachel to doctor she hasn't been feeling great and then followed up with physical therapy. Gonna see another ortho and maybe get an MRI. She still has back pain and now her neck hurts and she has been getting bad headaches. She leaves for field hockey camp Sunday!
Becca and her friend made up babysitting flyers and went door to door around the neighborhood delivering them. They already got a call ! But the woman wanted after school and both play soccer. But she said she would text them other times.
Rachel and I went out for sushi and we like to sit at the sushi chef bar because he always makes it special. Last time our sushi plate had flashing lights and he gave us a little free appetizer salad. This time he made a huge decorative plate out of an orange for desert. I posted the pic on FB.

Kale Mac N Cheese turned out delicious! I'll review it tonight or tomorrow in the IMI. Hoping everyone is starting to settle down from their busy day :)
