Tuesday's Trim

    Good Morning.

It's looking like a nice day here except my neighbor is having his house painted and his workers are a little irritating. Why do people have to shout? They shout back and fourth to each other when they need to talk and don't realize that when they do it sounds like they are in my house. Arrrgh.
Going to get my bangs trimmed later this morning and then after will continue on and get LD his dog food.
I have butterflied chicken breast still to use up so I'll make something with it for dinner tonight. I'm thinking chicken parm.

Congrats on the good results from your mamo yesterday Karen! It must be a good relief to know all is well.

Morning Linda! The year Jim and I had our metal roofing installed on the house, a couple came to do the job and set their 'Ghetto blaster' at the time, up outside and BLARED the music. And it was Country music.....and I despise Country music (sorry if anyone likes it, I just can't handle it). I should have handled the situation more maturely, but I put on a CD that I liked and turned it up full blast to drowned out their music. Silly really, but I do know how you feel. Noise does really carry. Have a good haircut! Chicken parm sounds awesome. I need to short list that myself.

Well, it's bright blue sky and sunshiny. When I looked at the weather forecast yesterday it called for rain and so we'd planned to go to the new Downton Abbey movie this afternoon but I kind of hate to waste a lovely day. Maybe we'll go for a walk somewhere and out for lunch.

I have tons of stuff still in the fridge so don't need to make anything for dinner.

Had a good sleep last night and even almost slept in 'til 9 but the turkeys woke me pecking on the basement window. It was time to get up anyway.

It's Benjamin's 29th birthday tomorrow so Jim is going to etransfer him some money. I have to make a concerted effort to run out and get some things to make up a Christmas parcel for him and get that mailed off to him by the end of the week if I don't want to pay a fortune for postage.

    Wishing everyone a great day.

Had to call the management company on my neighbor. Straw that broke the camels back was when his workers started using the back of the property as their bathroom. I have no tolerance for that. Bad enough they were washing their painting equipment back there (which is a huge NO-NO).

Made a quick marinara sauce for my chicken parm tonight. Hair trim is good. And got LD's food.
I hear the Downtown Abbey series is great Janet. I'm going to have to watch it sometime. Too funny about the turkeys again. Happy Birthday to Benj.! Any ideas what you'll be getting this year for Christmas?

Oh dear Linda. You do have the worst luck with maintenance people. Again, a second yum on Chicken Parm. Both Jim and I watched Downton Abbey for years. I loved it.

I managed to pick up a few little things for Benjamin's Christmas parcel today. Went to a fancy food shop and bought a small box of Lemon sea salt crackers to go with a tin of Lobster Pate as well as a pkg. of Fajita spices. I'd already picked him up three small spice mixes and a beeswax Christmas tree. I want to buy a small box of Ovation mint sticks as that's the candy he equates with Christmas the most. If I see a couple more things great, and if not, no big deal. We'll send him money anyway but I just wanted to have a little something for him to open on Christmas Day.

Jim and I went to Home Depot (Jim's just checking out items for future projects) and then to Costco. Also stopped at Bulk Barn. Home to eat leftovers for lunch. Finished off the ribs from the other night. Will warm up the Malibu Chicken that's left for our dinner this evening and I've already prepped a tossed salad to go with it.

Got a letter written to my Mom and to her cousin in England who I hadn't written since April. Oops. My bad. I'm usually very good at keeping in touch.

Went out for a hot tub. It is getting dark earlier and earlier.
