Good Afternoon All!

Several weeks back I told you all that I planted ginger ... well here it is! The sprouts are getting big. I think all of my sections took except one. I have a "blank" section in one spot. I'll let it go a little longer and then remove it so it doesn't rot and replace it with another next time I buy ginger. So excited to be growing it because I do not have a Green Thumb.

Just a normal day here. Had leftover soup for lunch. Kenpo this afternoon and will get something to eat out afterwards.
Hope to hear what everyone else is doing!

Congrats on getting your RV, Karen. I bet you will be going somewhere very soon.

I have a dental cleaning this afternoon and I need to pick up a few things after that. We will probably have Wiener Schnitzel My Way for dinner with some creamy chive potatoes and steamed green beans. Nothing else exciting is happening here.

Uggg, the guys just came around and trimmed the dwarf palm trees that are planted in front of the back and front windows ... trimmed!! it was more like a hack job.

Ginger looks almost like a version of bamboo, the green stems are very exotic looking. Mine has a ways to go yet.

Nice looking recipe, Joce, and I love your sides. Don't know why I've never thought to put chives in mashed potatoes.

I hope to clean my closet out before Monday as OFCP will be picking up whatever I can scrounge up. Your trout sounds amazing, I haven't had that in ages.

I have spareribs thawing in the fridge that I'll bake in garlic/honey sauce and will make Chicken And Veggie Fried Rice, minus the chicken, and stir fried mushrooms, broc. and asparagus.

Love the ginger plant Linda! The leaves get so pretty I'd hate to eat the ginger root ;) Have fun at Kenpo. Too bad the tree trim jobbed looks hacked, I always find the arborists make it look bad at first but it always seems to help the trees down the road.

Hi Bren, that's just how I make fried rice too (minus the shrooms) I like to add a hint of sesame oil to it, yum yum! My kids would eat bowlfuls and bowlfuls of that! ;)

Good for you on the Spring cleaning er Fall cleaning Janet! lol ;) How is the waterproofing wall coming along? Hopefully Jim wasn't too sore today.

I've been lazy today, and it's almost time to get the kids already! I'd better get that soup in the slow cooker now so it has at least 4 hours to cook.

It's actually so nice outside today! Not sure what the temp. Is but there is a nice cool breeze, and I love it! I'm finally at the gym and it's almost 2pm lol. Bri will be home from school in less than an hour! Going to make something I haven't made in forever tonight...Shepard pie. I cleaned out my closets some time back and promised myself I wouldn't go crazy adding things this time around and I've been good. If I do buy something then I have to get rid of something so I'm not adding just replacing. Thank God I just don't enjoy shopping anymore. Good Luck with it all Janet. It always feels good after though to have an uncluttered closet.

My toes have pretty much healed Bren, enough that I can walk. Still don't want them stepped on though. A few more weeks and they will be good as new. Have you made a big dent in MIL house? Do you still have more to go?

I'm envious of your cool weather Shona. Enjoy it for me too :)

The Shepard's Pie recipe looks good Michelle. Let us know how it turns out. I've never made any of Alton Brown's recipes but they are suppose to be good.
