Good Morning Everyone.

I really fizzled out yesterday from not sleeping the night before and then got a headache on top of it. It took everything I had to keep my eyes open thru the early evening so I could sleep thru the night and I did. Also needed to take Aleve for my headache.
The guy who bought my old Canadian coins wants to buy more of what I have. I sent him a list and very fair prices and hopefully he will follow thru. I'll put the money towards a red light therapy device which I will benefit from as well as LD and Bella. I need to make up my mind though which one I want. I can either go with something expensive but probably well worth it or something that costs less but I can send back if I don't like it. Decisions, decisions.
Pulled out meatloaf mix to thaw and will make meatloaf for dinner with either a baked sweet potato or regular potato and broccoli, maybe a salad too.
We are expecting a tropical storm over the weekend, it should come in the wee hours of Saturday night into Sunday morning. I'll head on out to the grocery store Friday just to get things so I don't have to go out in wet weather.

Glad you are getting everything ready for RR Janet. Sounds like you are on track. The cookie shapes for your mom are two very different cuts … I gather she likes both pigs and cardinals. Will you make sugar cookies or some other rolled dough like gingerbread?

Yes Kimmer the heat does suck the life out of me too. Looking forward to cooler, less humid weather. Sorry to hear your trip is canceled but hoping another time works out soon.

Hi Linda! I'm sorry to hear you got a headache yesterday on top of no sleep. Ugh! Jim and I stayed up late watching a 2015 movie called 'Everest' until almost midnight. It was very good and very suspenseful! How and why do people want to climb mountains like that????? Wow! And then I did a boo-boo and didn't start the dishwasher until I went to bed and it runs for over an hour so the sound bothered me and I don't think I fell asleep until after 1. Wise idea to go grocery shopping ahead of time. As I'd mentioned already, it's a long weekend in Canada so instead of going to the LCBO to buy wine for the weekend tomorrow, the Friday before the holiday weekend, we went today and there was no line up whatsoever so I think we made a wise decision. I bought the cardinal and pig cookie cutter months ago because yes, my Mom used to help my Dad raise pigs and she loves cardinals. LOL. I'll use my stand-by sugar cookie recipe.

Jim and I ate a quick breakfast, poached egg on toast and then the woman who is going to house sit for us popped over to pick up the keys and instructions so we chatted with her outside for an hour! I cleaned up the kitchen afterwards and then we drove back to Ikea to pick up the chair frame that was out of stock on Monday. Success this time!

Heated up leftovers from last night's dinner for lunch. I have the Lemon Rosemary Brined Roast Chicken
brining in the fridge and I made
Corn,avocado And Tomato Salad
as a side and I'll also use up some leftover asparagus I have.

Our corn on the cob was SO disappointing last night and the potatoes were just meh.

Noisy dishwashers can be annoying for sure, Janet. Our new one is so quiet we don't hear it in the living room, the old one sounded like a freight train.

I had a port cleanse appointment this morning. Picked up some needed items at a drug store, included a thermometer. Fritz chewed up our good, digital one, adding to his total of 40 ball point pens, 1 empty pill bottle, 1 essential oil bottle, 1 box of Claritin (I got to it before he could eat the pills), and at least one UPO (unidentified plastic object).

The new Gator and the brush cutter are coming tomorrow.

Good evening/night and hello to all. Fritz apparently likes to chew Karen, lol! Thank goodness you got to it before he chewed the Claritin pills! Our Charlie liked to chew things too. The list would be way too long.......... Although, his favorite was corners of the house :( Our dishwasher is a bit noisy too. But fortunately we have the breakfast room before the bedroom and then our doors are so thick and solid that we don't hear a thing once closed. But we seldom close it all the way so Chloe can rule the house at night, lol! But usually I start the dishwasher before bedtime.

Just did a quick beef and noodles dinner tonight. Wasn't feeling much like cooking so just added some broth and a bit of sour cream to the noodles and it turned out just fine. Have quite a bit of stew meat in the freezer so was good to use some up.

Hope all Sleep Sweet...........as always..............
