I'm not sure I really know the difference between all the Mexican styles of foods. I do know that there is a difference with NEW Mexico and other Mexican cooking. Also with OLD Mexico and other Mexican cooking. I believe what I grew up on was closer to Tex-Mex. With more lettuce, tomatos, cheese and sourcream.
Can someone explain the differences? Just courious. I love it all either way.

I think us Americans added the sour cream and cheeses to Mexican food. At least that is what I've heard.

We american added the ground beef, if you went ans ask for ground beef in Mexico my brother said, you would been laugh at by the mexican because they used steaks!!
