Betty Crocker's Good and Easy Cookbook

There's a little story behind one of my favorite cookbooks. My mom used the Betty Crocker's Good and Easy Cookbook while I was growing up. I learned to cook from it. When I met my husband, Larry, imagine my surprise when I saw that he had the exact cookbook among his collection! As you can tell from the duct tape on the edge of the book, it's been used a lot over the years. My favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe comes from this book.

    Hello Diana,

Paulette here just telling you that I've got so many books that bring back big smiles and happy memories. I stil have the first book that "started it all" from my cousin Patricia-The Betty Crocker Boy's and Girl's Cookbook. I have the original and 1 or two others that I found for hardly anything at I think The Salvation Army. God bless The Salvation Army-many of my clothes were bought there when I was a kid and even beyond and alll the kids thought I was rich! I had them fooled!

Is there a book that you'd like to see featured?

If so, I might have it in my collection here in Southern CA. Just let me know.

I just got a couple new ones from Jessica's Biscuit. I promised I wouldn't get anymore but that was one heck of a promise!!! Food and creating "edible masterpieces" is one of my favorite things.

I'll tell you about all the titles I got and the incredible deal that made getting them irresistable!!!
I got almost 10 books for under $60 plus a free subscription to Bon Appetit, which I always got along with Gourmet when I was married. Not bad, huh?

I don't work for them but I should be in PR there huh? :-)
