Velveeta Nutrition Info

Did anyone know that Velveeta has 30% less fat than cheddar cheese? I got some primarily to make Macaroni and Cheese out of but it also melts really nicely in sauces or other recipes. It also happens to be cheaper than cheddar usually so-that is a good thing to remember if you're trying to cut down on your fat intake.

Oh thank you Polly! I'm gonna use this info on some "Velveeta Snobs" that are also "Health Snobs"
I've always said that Velveeta is under apreciated. No it shouldn't be used in certain recipes but it's a lot more versitile than most people think.
    Thanks again for posting this.

hey there thanks for the invite lovebreezy and polly thanks for that info - I love to cook with Velveeta - it's so much creamier and smoother - and you know what they say in order to burn fat you have to eat fat - well that certainly is true - but again all things in moderation and it can work for you add 2 miles of gentle walking and watch the lbs fall

Has anyone tried the lower fat version of Velveeta? The 2% blend? I have not, as even Velveeta has its snobs. I was just wondering if there is a significant difference in the taste or texture?
