I have a recipe for playdough that has been used at my childrens' elementary school for years. It is so easy to make and keeps indefinitely! Hope it will work for you!

Dakota Elementary School Play-dough, Dakota, Illinois
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
food coloring (any color)

In large saucepan, mix water, oil, and several drops of food coloring, any color as desired.
In small mixing bowl, mix together dry ingredients and add to liquid ingredients in saucepan.
Stirring constantly over medium heat, cook for approximately 3 minutes or until mixture leaves the sides of the pan and forms a large ball.
Keeps indefinitely in a plastic bowl with a lid.
