    Hi Sherry,

Starting this group was a great idea. Memories are what often keeps us young...or if you let it can do the opposite. I will try and muster something up to contribute!

When we were young my Dad would take us to Water street and we would shop at all of the ethnic grocery stores. One of our last stops was to a deli were they had huge barrels of half sour pickles. They were so sour your mouth would pucker.
We would also pick up foot long hot dogs . These are hard ti find these days what fun times we had shopping. Every store had different ethnic choices. Greek, Italian, Jewish, Polish and on and on what a melting pot.

    Worcester ,Massachusetts answers both questions.

I have been to the wharf in San Francisco I have been to the Millennium Restaurant on Geary street. Not to far was a huge market place and on Friday there are vender's and a framers market, I forgot the name. We went on the ferry tour around the harbor and saw the prison at Alcatraz island and the Golden Gate Bridge... Huge. The weather changes so fast one moment you could see all the way to the top of the bridge and the next moment it disappeared into the fog .
That space ship ( building) got lost in the cloud of fog too.
Has anyone been to Greens in San Francisco.?
