This is a yummy way to fix cabbage.....good with cornbread....

Ingredients
  • 1 pound country sausage (hot)
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 qt tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Brown sausage, bell pepper and onion in skillet.
  2. Partially cook cabbage in a quart of water.
  3. Add tomatoes and sausage mixture; add salt and pepper.
  4. Cook for 30 minutes to an hour..

Everything from the garden, except the sausage. This sounds delish!!!!!


Smashing dish. I love stuffed cabbage but hate the work. This will add all the flavor I crave in an easy after work night supper. Just add some spuds for the hubby and we're dining like royalty. Thanks for the post.

I HAVE MADE THIS WITH GROUND PORK, HOT COUNRTY SAUSAGE ( BREAKFAST ITEM, ALWAYS HAS BIG FAT CHUNKS IN IT AND GROSSES ME OUT! )
EITHER WAY YOU MAKE IT SERVE OVER RICE WITH SOME SOUR CREAM---YUM.
